Fill out an application, return to Wadena HRA office, at that time your name will be put on the waiting list.
When your name comes to the top of the waiting list, you will be notified by mail from Wadena HRA.
Once you have received the letter, it is your responsibility to contact the Wadena HRA to update your information, you will be required to pick up a Briefing Packet at the Wadena HRA office. The packet includes all the required forms. Once you have the packet you then will watch the Section 8 Briefing Session that explains the forms and how the Section 8 Voucher Program works. Return the completed forms and required documents to the Wadena HRA office by the requested date.
If eligible and when funds are available, a voucher will be issued, which gives you the go ahead to find a place to live.
When you have a place to live and the owner agrees to rent under the program, Wadena HRA will conduct an HQS inspection of the unit. If unit passes, we will place you on the program.
